MaxBiaggi2 - (March 30, 2006) Microsoft introduced the hard drive to consoles as standard equipment with the original Xbox (five years ago), but you don't get one with the 360 core pack. Unless you spend $100 more to buy one separately, you don't get downloadable content or backwards compatibility with original Xbox games either on your new 360, but you do get longer load times. The 360 core pack lacks a few other things as well. You don't get a wireless controller or HDTV component cables. Xbox 360 is being marketed as a "next generation" system, but a wired controller and composite tv cables aren't very next gen. (The original PSone had these.) Anyone serious about gaming will want to go for the premium pack as i

zoglog - (November 28, 2005) Let me start off by saying I don't believe anyone should get the core system. The core system was introduced in order to funnel off some heat for the $100 price increase for the console in the current generation. By releasing the core system users who bought the real system could feel a sense of value and feel the console's price point was really $299. While I think this tactic is far less shady than the bundling of useless accessories with the PSP, it is nevertheless obviously the real Xbox 360. All the accessories that come with the regular version just spell out next gen (Wireless controllers and HDTV Component Cables). When you hear them talk about the core accommodating to "niche users"

manu08 - (May 17, 2007) So close to perfect... I've had the Xbox 360 for about 10 months now. Last month it gave up on me & I had to get it replaced, for which I had to incurr a one way shipping cost but the replacement process was a breeze & the replacement Xbox 360 was with me in no time. I had the original Xbox for a very long time, now passed it on to my brother who doesn't require *next-gen* gaming for his day to day life, however I do recommend it for everyone else. The Xbox 360 takes entertainment to another level by giving you wireless controllers, a better interface to interact with (the Xbox 360 dashboard), jaw dropping graphics & a whole lot more..I'm not going to bore you with the technical specific

Must have item for Xbox 360 users
gameenthusiast - (08/13/2009) A nice, if not overpriced, accessory for the Xbox 360. Plenty of storage space for whatever you are looking to do (music, movies, save games, demos), and it integrates with the 360 exactly as the 20GB drive did. Transferring files from the 20GB to the 120GB was simple and took less than an hour, and all the content from my original drive transferred over properly. I only gave it three stars because I feel it is way overpriced... I bought one because Amazon had it as their deal of the day and I saved forty bucks off the regular price. MS is kind of taking advantage of users by making their HD proprietary. It would be much better if we could just attach external HD's via USB. Btw, I have used this one for stuff ... http://www.gameyeeeah.com/ . ... Hope that helps …

Product: Component HD-AV-Cable for XBox 360
Nameerfbrian - (01/28/2009) This product is a real revolution for people who are not next to a network or able to use it. It s very simple to use, because you just have to plug it on your Xbox 360 and then it do the rest by itself. I'm very happy of it and I would recommend it even if it seems a bit weak but it is not supposed to move everyday so I guess it's as strong as it needs.
