Strengths:

It is the fastest and best all around system ever!

Weaknesses:

Needs more games, but that is already happening

Posted Feb 21, 2002 - Well, the system is large, but it's not like I carry it around with me, so I don't mind that. The controller is fairly large, but it has a nice feel. The graphics are the best, I would recommend this system to anyone.

Strengths:

Most powerful gaming console on the markey. Very Ergonomic controller (The original one.)

Weaknesses:

Currently, few good titles on the market, but by this christmas, there should be over 300.

Posted Aug 20, 2002 - This system has been criticized for being large and ugly. But who cares, it packs a lot of power. Unless you are going to hang it on the wall, who cares what it looks like. The graphics are amazing. This can be seen especially in games like DOA 3 and Project Gotham racing. It's very beautiful to see hair and clothes swaying as the character moves, or the see that metal really shimmers as it's supposed to. The controller has been criticized for being too large. I love the controller. It's very ergonomic, reducing wrist strain. The buttons are positioned in such a way that the fingers and wrist naturally fall on them. The vibration feedback is awesome. It adds realism to the game. The detail and the interactivity in the levels are amazing. Shadows are where they are supposed to be, spent shells fall like they should. People may say the games do not need this. Who needs all this detail? However, I saw, can you imagine the game without this? It's the little detail that adds realism. The detail which we don't consciously pay attention to is picked up by the subconscious and gives realism. The X-Box is certainly good at this. It gives developers the freedom to add all these details. Some say that there are not a lot of good games out for the X Box. That will soon change with games like splinter cell, and load of over 200 games by the end of this year. I might be biased though. The best way to decide is to go to a store and play demos and make up your own mind.

Strengths:

Very powerful, 3 times stronger than ps2, the original controller let my fingers fall naturally on the buttons Built in hard drive with 50,000+ blocks of free space! Games look beautiful.

Weaknesses:

Lack of games, but the new line up looks promising. Never scratches cd's or overheats, my room stays cool when it is on. (very small room) Four controller ports.

Posted Dec 27, 2002 - What's with all this flack on the xbox? Don't listen to all the ps2 groupies' lies. Replies to ps2 groupy complaints about the ultrabox. "The xbox is too big." - Unless you live in a shoebox the size is fine and is big to hold all the cool stuff in it. "The colors are gay." - So, that's why you buy gaming systems? To hang it on the wall? So, the colors are different, probably because microsoft wanted to do something different. I dont know about you but I buy gameing systems to play games, nothing else. "you need a dvd remote to watch movies." - I thought you bought systems to play games, microsoft put the dvd feature in as a bonus and what do they do? flack them. Also the xbox live's broadband only feature means you won't have gay 56kers lagging the game all the time. Games ported to the xbox usually look better and have more features than their ps2 or gcube's counterparts. Loading times are always decreased. GET AN XBOX DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANYTHING ELSE!

Strengths:

Superior graphic capabilities, excellent online play, great games, hard drive for saving games and music onto

Weaknesses:

Rather large, has a lower selection of games when compared to the Playstation 2.

Posted Oct 31, 2004 - I can say that, without a doubt, the XBox is the best console out there to date. The other consoles are all great, but there is something special about the XBox that makes it stand out from them. Maybe it is its amazing online capabilities, maybe it is because of its excellent games (Halo, Knights of the Old Republic, Fable etc). I would recommend an XBox to any fan of gaming. P.S. If you are looking at buying it with a game or two, Halo is definetely the game to pick up!

Strengths:

Best graphics out of all the systems, some really good games, best online program, and a hardrive.

Weaknesses:

You have to buy a $30 kit to play DVDs. A few really crappy games

Posted Aug 6, 2003 - Xbox had a bad start with only a few of games worth buying at the premere of the system. Even though thouse few games were extreamly good, it got alot of bad reviews. The system is starting show how good it can become with some great games coming out soon. It seams that that mostly pretty much everybody said it was good exsept the people who had it stop working. I never had this happen to me or my friends but its happening to some people. The people who say it sucks are people who never owned it. If they never owned a Xbox they shouldn't have the right say it sucks. This system could take over very qickly if game developers could realize its a good platform for playing games. I think the system has the most potential and that is why i give it a perfect rating.

Strengths:

A powerful gaming computer with incredible graphics for less than $180. Constant stream of new titles. Good "classic" title now selling for half the original price or less. Can also play DVDs.

Weaknesses:

Only comes with one controller. Included games (Tetris World and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones) pretty much worthless.Small built-in 10 gigabyte hard drive.

Posted Jan 3, 2004 - The other gaming consoles don't even come close to the power of this amazing gaming console from Microsoft; especially now that they are selling for $179.99. The PS2 may have more titles but the number of Xbox titles is growing exponentially. And you can also play your DVDs in this console (you can add an IR receiver/remote for $29.99 if you must absolutely have a remote control.

Strengths:

Wow where to began. First off the hardware, you simply cna't beet it in the console world, or any where else for the price. Second off the software.

Weaknesses:

Size and a lck of exclusive games.

Posted Jun 3, 2003 - In todays industry it is more commen than ever for titles to be released across every platfrom. And given the Xbox's ease of programming and sheer power more often than not we get the best one. As for exclusives yeah there arn't as many as the mighty ps2 but they are many in number. I personally own 14 games and none of which are rated less than silver. and most of which are exclusives. I look foward to the Xbox 2 it will dominate.

Strengths:

Great console. This console is a market controlling console because it has the specs to be so get off it gamecube!

Weaknesses:

DVD kit and some freeze issues.

Posted Apr 20, 2004 - Great console that has showed me something about video games. Great overall console that has a fast proccesor and great grphics which put it on top. XBOX live is the greatest thing ive ever played with games like Crimson Skies and Rainbow Six 3. Great game selection with over 400+ games and 6 great games comin in SEPTEMBER (Halo2, star wars, Ghost Recon2, Fable and many others!). Great console for avid gamers. If you own your PS2 enjoy it, f you own your Gamecube enjoy it but if your lookin for a new console you should strongly consider them all and there strengths. GET AN XBOX OVER AGMECUBE YOULL BE HAPPIER UNLESS YOUR BIG ON RPG's AND MARIO. go to www.warppipe.com to find out about gamecube online. Go to www.XBOX.com to find out more about my favorite console yet!

Strengths:

Good and growing line of games. POWER not ever seen before in a console. The 10 Gb HD is a little small for my taste and love of music, but it sure beats buying a memory card.

Weaknesses:

All the stuff you HAVE to buy separately. The thing won't even play DVD's until you shell out $30 for the DVD playback kit! And what's with the "pay for play" online. Doesn't Micro$oft get enough $.

Posted Jan 17, 2004 - Coolest of all the gaming systems out there. Let's just hope when #2 comes out, you don't get stuck buying a lot of extra stuff to make it do what you want it to.

5 Star ReviewAll these people sound like a bunch of ps2 fanboys ...

Strengths:

Just about everything. HDTV support, DSL/cable support, 5.1 surround sound support, all built in. Works AWSOMEly on home entertainment systems.

Weaknesses:

It's big, that's it. AND NO, the controller is NOT uncomfortable, unless your hands are the size of a 10 year olds. And the CONTROLLER S (small) is available, ps2 size. Learn before you smack talk.

Posted Dec 15, 2003 - All these people sound like a bunch of ps2 fanboys to me. Let me tell you the truth. (Note: I own all 3 systems) 1.) 2 Words, Xbox Live. THEE best experience you'll ever have on a console, anywhere. Xbox live is revolutionary and pulls off what the dreamcast attempted to pull off with 100x the sucess. Live is seamless and intense, WAY better than ps2's online services, which vary with each game. Xbox live is a single service, 50 bux a YEAR, which is dirt cheap for the amount of fun it provides. Voice communication with every player is just insanely cool. 2.) Game selection is huge and growing everyday with exclusives alone like: Fable, Halo (2), Sudeki, True Fantasy Live Online, Project Gotham Racing (2), online sports games, Splinter Cell: [Pandora Tomorrow] (don't even bother playing this on ps2, it's a disgrace), Rainbow Six 3, Crimson Skies, DOA Online, Ninja Gaiden, Otogi:Myth of Demons, RalliSport Challenge 2, Counter-Strike, Ghost Recons, Armed and Dangerous, Unreal 2: The Awakening, R: Racing Evolution, Full Spectrum Warrior, and Knights of the Old Republic jus to name a few. I honestly play my xbox waaaay more than I play my ps2 or Gamecube now. It's just way more fun. While I do love my ps2, it's showing it's age while xbox is flourishing where ps2 once was. And well, we don't have to mention GC, nintendo is just in deep trouble right now. Xbox and Xbox Live are awsome. And I'm not being biased at all, this is my honest observation. Xbox is it.

Strengths:

The most power of all the consoles and the best games. its also the youngest console so it has a longer shelf life the cube has already failed and the ps2 looks verry old and underpowered.

Weaknesses:

jap suport was weak but now things are changing a look at xbox exclusives NINJA GAIDEN, BREAKDOWN, DINO CRISIS 3, DEAD OR ALIVE ONLINE and many more prove that

Posted Jun 4, 2003 - This is without a doubt the best console money can buy forget the other two under powered toys and get your hands on this baby. People tried to hold it back being the new kid on the block but microsoft has swept them aside. The games lineup is now superb and the upcoming lineup is amazing to say the least with games that simply could not be done on the other systems HALO 2, DOOM 3 ,PERFECT DARK ZERO, NINJA GAIDEN, HALF LIFE 2, DEUS EX 2, DINO CRISIS 3 are just a small sample of the greatness of the xbox exclusives to come do yourself a favour buy one NOW! and at the moment the price is fantastic ohh also the big pads are gone forever S controler is superb.

Posted Apr 24, 2003 - this system is tha shateezy. there is no denyin. you have the fastest processor, great games like halo, mech assault, project gothem, splinter cell and the list goes on. the controller is the best out there. you can say what you want. the control itself went through exstensive consumer testing and microsoft took the time to come up with a great design. o, and xbox live! what could be better then playing online without the lag. you can talk to people through the headset while you are playin and its frikin crystal clear! unbelievable!

Strengths:

Great graphics, comes with built in online and lan capability.

Weaknesses:

Came with a "S" controller and the original style controllers have been discontinued.

Posted Aug 3, 2004 - This unit is the best on the market. It has great graphics and a fast processor. It also makes playing games online and over a lan connection very easy. As for the games that came in this bundle star wars is a great game and tetris is ok. I usually play action style games like halo. Im really looking forward to getting some new games like Halo 2 and Rainbow Six 3. As for the controller, Im used to playing with the old style controllers on my friend's xboxs. The new one just doesnt feel right and the buttons are in different places. So i went out and got a wireless controller that is just like the old style. If anyone wants to buy a 2nd controller, wireless really is the way to go.
