Strengths:Just about everything. HDTV support, DSL/cable support, 5.1 surround sound support, all built in. Works AWSOMEly on home entertainment systems.
Weaknesses:It's big, that's it. AND NO, the controller is NOT uncomfortable, unless your hands are the size of a 10 year olds. And the CONTROLLER S (small) is available, ps2 size. Learn before you smack talk.
Posted Dec 15, 2003 - All these people sound like a bunch of ps2 fanboys to me.
Let me tell you the truth. (Note: I own all 3 systems)
1.) 2 Words, Xbox Live. THEE best experience you'll ever have on a console, anywhere. Xbox live is revolutionary and pulls off what the dreamcast attempted to pull off with 100x the sucess. Live is seamless and intense, WAY better than ps2's online services, which vary with each game. Xbox live is a single service, 50 bux a YEAR, which is dirt cheap for the amount of fun it provides. Voice communication with every player is just insanely cool.
2.) Game selection is huge and growing everyday with exclusives alone like:
Fable, Halo (2), Sudeki, True Fantasy Live Online, Project Gotham Racing (2), online sports games, Splinter Cell: [Pandora Tomorrow] (don't even bother playing this on ps2, it's a disgrace), Rainbow Six 3, Crimson Skies, DOA Online, Ninja Gaiden, Otogi:Myth of Demons, RalliSport Challenge 2, Counter-Strike, Ghost Recons, Armed and Dangerous, Unreal 2: The Awakening, R: Racing Evolution, Full Spectrum Warrior, and Knights of the Old Republic jus to name a few.
I honestly play my xbox waaaay more than I play my ps2 or Gamecube now. It's just way more fun. While I do love my ps2, it's showing it's age while xbox is flourishing where ps2 once was. And well, we don't have to mention GC, nintendo is just in deep trouble right now.
Xbox and Xbox Live are awsome. And I'm not being biased at all, this is my honest observation. Xbox is it.
