Weakness: Power cord is a bit short imo - DVD Kit needed to play DVDs.
I don't know what kind of crack Mr. Gamecube was on, but there are plenty of awesome games already on Xbox or are on the way, such as:
Halo / Halo 2, Splinter Cell, Sega GT 2002, Panzer Dragoon Orta, MechAssault, Unreal Championship, Rallisport Challenge, Morrowind, DOA3, and a number of others.
This console is excellent, I would recommend it to anyone!

TopStrengths: Cool black-green color scheme. Like the TV ads.
Weakness: 1st console did not work. Am finding a lack of quality games. Do not like the controller. Do not like buying things from and supporting Bill Gates.
If I wanted my gaming system to crash, why wouldn't I just use my (Windows) computer?! I use consoles for gaming (even though graphics are not as good as PC) because they are so convenient and problem-free. In fairness to Xbox, maybe my first machine was a rare lemon, but it was a total dud. Now that I've had a working machine for a while, am finding that the same game looks & plays better on GameCube! And the Xbox-only games are generally horrible. My Xbox is slowly becoming my EX-box.

TopStrengths: 733mhz processor(fastest of any console) built in hardrive, sweet, smooth graphics, great games
Weakness: no dvd without playback kit, controller is a little too big but it's not so bad. that's it.
i don't know what dds9112 is smokin'. not as good as gamecube??? you've got to be kidding me. gamecube has way too many "kiddy" games and doesn't even compare to xbox. oh well, he's entitled to his opinion. but overall, xbox is the best system overall ever made. so much better than ps2 and other systems. i definitely recommend it.

well xbox is good but not as good as gamecube.GC has Metroid Prime,Bounty Hunter,James Bond NightFire,Resident Evil,Zero,2,3,4,StarFox Adventures and more!And the best games for XBox that GC doesent have are Halo,Halo 2,and Blink.

All I have to say is that "XBOX" totally rulez the gaming experience. I've tried all the other game consoles and xbox is the very best. There's no way PS2 or gamecube can be compared with the xbox console.

TopStrengths: Excellent graphics, storage, load speed, and integrated live play. People complaining about lack of games must enjoy games designed for 6 yr old kids...
Weakness: Not 1. Haven't had any issues with my Xbox.
All the fools putting Bill Gates/Microsoft down are ignorant of the numerous benefits his company has provided all in the gaming/tech world... Yeah they're huge.. The price of computer hardware and software have been dramatically reduced over the years because they can afford to reduce it. The XBox has been a great gaming system and its only near competitor is the PS2... If you like great graphics, teen to adult oriented gaming, and a superfast system... get the XBOX.

but honestly tha best system to go with is play station 2 ..but playstation has alot of problems too.....the life span of it is about 2 YEARS depending on where u keep it , how u use it ect.............so if u reallly think of it this wave of systmes SUCK.......id have to admit tho halo is an excelent game.........if there was no hollo tho u gotta admit x-box would be at rock bottom now

TopStrengths: Best Graphics out of the three top consoles Built in HardDrive SplinterCell,UnrealChampionship, GhostRecon(PS2 has it but not online)
Weakness: Made by MicroSoft and supports BillGates Its Huge Controllers are bulky and uncomfortable Not Enough quality Games (SplinterCell is the exception) Mini Computer, so it crashes just like a Computer
Xbox is an OK console. If your looking for a console go for GameCube or PS2, then get a Xbox. And despite other peoples claims that Halo is such a goood game that it could be your only reason to get a Xbox, its not, plain and simple. Xbox doesn't have a good lineup of future exclusive games either. PS2 does, FFX-2,EverQuest Online, Resident Evil Online to name a few. The PS2 is around a year older than Xbox, and its still a better console overall. I don't have much to say about GameCube other than its so compact i feel like going to Target and putin one in my jacket, and its controllers are really comfortable.

TopStrengths: Good garphics, and the fact that you don't need a memory card is good.
Weakness: The controller is too big and there's constant slow downs during gameplay.
I have got to agree with dds9112. The only X-box games are nothing special, but with GameCube, you enjoy faster performance, better controls, and unlike x-box, it will never crash.(Metal Gear Solid 2 worked much better with PS2 than with X-box.)

Weakness: Very few great games, terrible controllers, and I'm now starting to get disc errors.
Well, as I always say to my friends, a game system is all about one thing: games.
THe Xbox may be the most powerful, but I have been dissatisfied with the quality of games.
Even the best games like Splinter Cell and Dead to Rights, end up on the Gamecube anyway.
I bought the Xbox for two reasons: Halo (which is great) and Xbox Live. Halo is great, and Xbox Live is not as good as I had hoped, but it is fun. Overall though, I have been dissappointed with my Xbox purchase.
I think, if you're buying just one system the GAmecube is the way to go. Then the PS2. The Xbox should be last on your list. And that is for one reason only: it just doesn't have enough great exclusive games.
PS2 has Grand Theft, Gamecube has MEtroid, Zelda and REsident Evil, and Xbox has well, not much...
If you can afford to buy them all do it. IF oyu're looking for just one system, look elsewhere.

Xbox is the best console on the market. I have all the other units, none can compare.
You get so much for so little money.
Xbox has been slow in bringing out the great games other consoles have. Being new to the market, it takes time. Newer games will take advantage of the processing power the Xbox provides.
Forget all the "children" that bash Xbox or Microsoft, this is the best console. I love it. My friends and family love it. My kids love it.

TopStrengths: Awesome graphics and speed..especially when compared to my ancient Atari console.
Weakness: DEFINITELY the poor quality of the console.
Finally decided to go purchase my first game system since atari...deliberated for days between Xbox & PS2. XBOX won..So off I went to spend a load on the bundle along with xbox live, splinter cell, ghost recon and blade2... What happens next...well let me TELL YOU.
MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT:
I'm on my THIRD Xbox unit in 2 months...
The 1st unit malfunctioned & started to emit a burning odor after just 31 freaking days! Circuit City exchanged it and off I went to enjoy unit#2.
I kid you not when I say 2 weeks later, unit #2 started to make loud noises whenever a game was in play. I immediately called Microsoft Xbox support to complain. They apologized and told me that they would repair it becasue it was under warranty. I declined and went right back to Circuit City.
I'm now on unit#3, day 2 ... I'll keep you all posted.
The most frustrating things about this has to do with time invested in returing the damn unit and also the LOSS of all saved games on those defective consoles. I lost progress saves for Splinter Cell, Blade2 and Ghost Recon. ...What a rip.
Only decent thing is that Circuit City has replaced every screwed up unit without a single hassle. My hats off to them for being so awesome!
As for Bill Gates, My hat would be off and wrapped around a flying fist to his face.
For all you doubters of my story, I have EVERY single receipt that shows the orig purchase and follow-up exchanges.
Purchase with caution.

TopStrengths: Great graphics, more adult oriented games, first person shooters like no other system can offer, fast loading times, and games are all excellent- few budget quality games. Also, Xbox Live is great.
Weakness: Large size is the only one. However, this is easily overlooked, as most people rarly move their consoles.
For Microsoft's first jump into the console industry, the Xbox has done better than Sega, and Nintendo, two companies that are sure veterens of gaming. Developers have listened to customers, and the results are amazing. A frequent visitor of Gamespy.com, I read all of the reviews on games, and for multi-platform games, the Xbox always does by far the best. That by itself says quite a bit. Sure, the game selection is less than the PS2's but studies show that Xbox owners purchase twice as many games than PS2 owners. I have owned my Xbox for 2 monthes, and have bought 3 games from retail. And for a teenager with limited funds, that is quite a few- a $150 value. I have had many good times with the Xbox, especially with 16 person LAN parties... those are great fun, and easy to do. Xbox is the console of the future, and I think that even most PS2 owners realize this.

Weakness: Controllers, overheating issue, and game line-up.
I have had PS2 and GC for a while now, they are great systems, but they don't get near the power of X-Box. X-Box may be the most powerful, but when you play some of the games like morrowind you get annoyed by why the idiots that made the game(s), didn't use the X-Box's full potential like GC and PS2 games. Some of the games are full of glitches and just horrible in play while some, JSR:F are great. I think M$'s system is gonna fail if they keep this up, but this is a great bundle and I would buy it again and again.
PS- Other reviewers need to learn how to spell, and don't listen to that idiot about the X-Box being horrible, he probably doesn't even own X-Box.

TopStrengths: The graphics are the best!!! The games like Halo and Mech Assault both rock, the dvd player unlike the other wannabe systems(Sorry), you can save like ten CDS and it won't even take 30000 blocks.
Weakness: DVD controller needed for DVD, won't play some lower quality burnt CDS or DVDS, It doesn't have GTA3 or Vicxe city on it!!!
I agree with beavenut, from FL. The graphics are teh best and it is the best system EVER made. Mind you I do like PS2 and Metroid is ok on GC. The controller was easy for me to get used to even though I still say Triangle,Square ETC.. because I had PS. I think this is a great systems for the whole family. My Father even likes playing Halo and Fusion Frenzy. I look forward to getting HALO 2 it looks so damn good!!!!! That is all I have to say.

GC blows. As simple as that. Who wants to play a game where you jump around with a water thingy when u can blow the crap out of some 1 in Halo or Unreal championship???? Im not dissing Mario but C'mon. The LIVE headset for EVERY game is way better than PS2's b/c PS2 only uses it for SOCOM. Plus, almost no need for a memory card. So all you people thinking about buying a system should get XBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!
